Tucked into the desert are five rooms gathered around a shared courtyard alive with native plants and birdsong. Each room has access to our Arizona Lounge, complete with a beehive fireplace, fresh coffee and a small library of books for the kind of quiet morning that reminds you why you came. Once the sun sets, explore the starry skies from Spencer’s Observatory just a short walk away.

In the 1960s, this building was home to a John Wayne museum – an only-in-Arizona origin story whose memory still lives in the bones of the space. In 2023, we converted it into three 1,200 sq ft casitas with full kitchens, washers/dryers, and your own desert patio space. Perfect for a weekend escape, or a long winter stay when the temperature drops down to a cool 65°.

Tucson was one of the first cities in the world to adopt dark sky lighting ordinances. On clear nights, the Milky Way is visible from the property, no telescope needed. Though if you’d like a closer look, the observatory is just outside your door.

Policies A few things to note before you arrive
Check-in 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm · Check-out 11:00 am. Early and late arrivals considered with advance notice.
Children 12 and older are welcome anytime. All ages welcome in The Casitas and The Casas.
Pet fee: $25 per dog, per night (non-refundable) + $100 refundable damage deposit per dog collected at reservation. Limit of two dogs – cannot be left unattended.
All rooms are non-smoking. A $250 charge applies where smoking has occurred.
Cancellations with less than 14 days notice are subject to a one-night charge. No-shows are responsible for the full amount due.
