Our Story
We take our place in the desert seriously
Rainwater harvesting, greywater irrigation, strict light pollution regulations. For us, this isn’t just a marketing trend – The Oasis grew from the Cat Mountain Lodge, started in 2010 to bring Southwest heritage and eco-minded construction together.

Meet Juanita
Adopted through the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum’s Desert Tortoise Adoption Program, Juanita Wayne has been a resident of The Oasis since the beginning – and she’ll be here long after us. She lives in a specially constructed habitat behind the Lodge, welcomes visitors in the summer, and accepts compliments graciously.
